About the Developers

Central Queensland Power (CQP)

Central Queensland Power (CQP), is a dedicated RES development platform established to deliver a coordinated portfolio of renewable energy projects across Central Queensland. Originally formed as a joint venture, CQP is now fully aligned within the RES group, enabling stronger strategic integration, streamlined decision‑making, and long‑term investment certainty.

CQP’s portfolio approach allows RES to plan and develop generation and storage assets at the scale required to replace ageing coal generation, support industrial decarbonisation in the region, and deliver reliable, affordable clean energy. The program considers the complexities of the Central Queensland grid, future transmission upgrades, and the emerging clean‑energy demands of industries in Rockhampton, Gladstone and surrounding areas.
